National 2010 Facts

This year's 2010 Grand National takes place at Aintree race course on Saturday 10th April.

Held over three days in April, with the Grand National race itself at 4.15pm on the final day of the meeting, Saturday, the John Smith's Grand National delivers an atmosphere and a unique sense of occasion like no other British sporting event.

National Snippets

Willie Mullins-trained Irish Invader, Beroni and Jayo are among 13 horses to withdraw from the 2010 Grand National after the first of two forfeit stages.

One Cool Cookie, Parsons Legacy and Royal County Star will also not run, while Champion trainer Paul Nicholls has five entries remaining.

Albertas Run, Madison Du Berlais and Notre Pere are joint top-weights of 98 horses left, having accepted 11st 10lb.

The second and final date for scratchings is 23 March.
